Warm sunshine and a great afternoon of live outdoor music attracted a crowd of spectators to Highbridge town centre on Sunday (August 2nd).
Over 200 people enjoyed Folk On The Green next to Highbridge Community Hall in Market Street.
Morgan and Knapp, a dynamic acoustic duo from Bristol, headlined the event, and there were also performances by the Polden Mountain Boys playing bluegrass and Emanim, followed by Sam Patten and a session of poetry from Hazel Lloyd.
Spectators made the most of the warm summer afternoon to enjoy the free event, which was organised by the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society (CADS), funded by the Town Council.
Organisers hailed the day a success. Mike Murphy, pictured with fellow organiser Eileen Shaw, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was great to see the people of Highbridge turning out to support this event, showing that it is appreciated in the town. It was our best supported event here for many years.”
