A new gourmet coffee bar was formally opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre at the weekend.
Calm was opened at 62 The High Street on Sunday (August 2nd) with a ribbon cutting by Burnham’s Mayor and Town Centre Manager.
The new business offers a wide range of quality coffees and snacks featuring locally-produced food.
“We have had an incredibly busy and very positive opening day,” owner Tiffany Louise Lin told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “There has been lots of interest and great support.”
“I am incredibly passionate about bringing Burnham the very highest quality coffee and superb local, quality food.”
The premises, based in the former Watermark finance premises, also features a reading room with library, a coffee bar area, soft seating with laptop charging points and USB docking stations.
A yoga, pilates and tai chi studio will also be opening soon upstairs as an added attraction and there’s also a meeting area for local groups.
Bev Milner Simonds, Burnham’s Town Centre Manager, said: “Well done to Tiffany on the opening day of Calm Coffee. It’s great to see such a large unit being let to a local business and that it has provided immediate employment opportunities. I wish her and her team every success with this cafe and studio space.”
Sarah Milner Simonds, director of Burnham’s Food and Drink Festival, added: “The Food and Drink Festival has been really pleased to help Tiffany find so many local suppliers for her menu and drinks list – the menu promises to provide the best local food and drink all year round.”
