-

A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was called to rescue a seagull trapped in netting on a rooftop in the town centre on Wednesday (April 4th).

The crew was called to the junction of College Street and Victoria Street shortly after 11.30am.

Our photos show Victoria Street closed to traffic while the crew used ladders to safely gain access onto the roof.

“The RSPCA had requested the help of the fire service to reach the bird, which was succesfully released from the netting without injury,” a fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
