Two taken to hospital after crash closes A38 near Burnham-On-Sea
Two motorists were taken to hospital after a crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Monday (August 10th).
Emergency services were called to the A38 at 1.30pm where a van and a small tipper truck had collided outside the Brent House in East Brent.
Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and a rescue tender from Taunton were sent to the scene.
The A38 was completely blocked while emergency services were on scene and a clean-up operation was completed.
Police spokeswoman Sarah Key told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The road was closed for several hours to allow the vehicles to be recovered and to enable our investigation to begin.”
The two male casualties were taken to Weston General Hospital and Musgrove in Taunton as a precaution.
