Burnham-On-Sea police investigate wave of town burglaries

-

Police in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have this week urged home owners to be extra vigilant after a series of break-ins by opportunistic burglars.

Laptop computers and other high value personal items have been stolen during eighteen break-ins over the last three months.

Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Easily removable items such as purses, laptops, handbags and Wii gaming consoles have been stolen.”

“The burglars have been entering properties through insecure windows and doors, so we would advise residents to take extra care in securing their properties.”

He added: “It’s unclear whether the incidents are linked, but our investigations are continuing and we have several good leads.”
