Vandalism and drug dealing are set as police priorities

-

Tackling vandalism and drug dealing will be the two top priorities for police in Highbridge over the next three months, residents in the town have decided this week.

Over 20 residents made the decision at the quarterly Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting, held in the town on Thursday (April 29th).

Residents also heard how overall crime levels in the town have fallen during the past year.

And they were given an update on the positive work that has been done to tackle the previous two priorities set by residents at the last Highbridge meeting earlier this year – drugs misuse and parking issues.

PACT meetings give local residents a chance to influence what happens in their neighbourhood. The next meeting will be held in Highbridge at St John Ambulance Hall in Bank Street at 7.30pm on July 22nd.
