A popular folk band will be performing a one-off concert in Burnham-On-Sea next month.
Magenta will play a mixture of original and traditional music when they take to the stage of Burnham’s Princess Hall on Saturday June 12th.
Tickets have just gone on sale, priced £12.50 each, which include a ploughman’s lunch, ‘at the table’ service, and access to a fully licensed bar.
Tickets can be obtained from GC Music, College Street or via Terry Cornelius 01278 784645 and Mervyn of Magenta on 01934 733505, priced at £12 : 50 each
Event organiser Terry Cornelius from Burnham’s Moose Lodge told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A recent music event with Magenta in Weston saw the band playing to packed houses and this is a unique opportunity to mix personal enjoyment with the pleasure of helping local charities.”
Beneficiaries of the event will be locally-based charities including Burnham-On-Sea’s Gateway Club.
Twenty five years after Magenta disbanded, the five members of the band, who had all been involved with other musical projects over the years, decided to get together to play two reunion concerts last autumn. Following the success of the reunion concerts, Magenta are now working on a new album for release later this year.
