Four-day August Bank Holiday fun weekend starts at Highbridge pub
A Highbridge pub is holding four days of family fun to help raise funds to improve its facilities.
The Globe Inn in Newtown Road is holding an August Bank Holiday Weekend Family Fun Weekend from Friday 28th through to Bank Holiday Monday.
“We are in the process of a big project to further improve the pub, building a skittle alley and function room onto the back of the pub, and updating the toilet facilities,” landlady Margaret Day, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We’d really like locals to get involved by raising funds to help improve their community pub. Various events are being held through the weekend to help, organised by Hayley Wills.”
There will be a face painting, hook-a-duck, a barbecue, refreshments, prize raffles, karaoke and lots more each day, with all very welcome.
