Staff at Highbridge’s King Alfred School have this week paid tribute to a former Chairman of Governors who has died.
Dr Peter Clarke, pictured, was Chairman at the school from September 1995 to January 2007.
“Staff and governors at The King Alfred School are saddened to hear he has passed away,” said a school spokeswoman.
“Dr Clarke worked tirelessly on behalf of our students. He was liked and respected by all who knew him.”
“He had been a headteacher himself so he brought a wealth of expertise to the role and was a massive asset to the school during his time as Chair.”
