Staff and pupils at a small school near Burnham-On-Sea are celebrating after receiving a glowing Ofsted report this month.
Inspectors said Pawlett Primary School is seeing effective action with a good improvement plan on its journey towards becoming excellent.
They have praised its leadership, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, and the work towards pupil outcomes.
Ofsted also highlights the work done by the high-achieving Priory Learning Trust and the leadership of senior leaders and acting Head Emma Hardy-Smith, pictured, since last September.
The 56-pupil school itself is over 200 years old and is situated in green surroundings with sports pitches, a forest school, adventure playground, and next door to a state-of-the-art community club with a 3G football pitch that can be used by the children of the school.
