A long-running club for businessmen in Burnham-On-Sea has folded this week after more than 40 years.
Burnham Probus Club, which had dozens of members at its peak, provided social activities for businessmen and professionals in the area.
But Chairman Allan Petoud told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Sadly, the group has suffered a decline in new members during recent years and we’re now down to just a handful of active members with no-one to take on the main roles.”
“It is very disappointing to be winding up the group after so long but there is no other way.”
He added that the group has decided to hand over its remaining funds to the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Hospital.
