The quality of Burnham-On-Sea’s beaches has been praised in two separate studies this week.
The Tidy Britain Group carried out a snap inspection of Burnham and its inspector gave high marks for the overall standard of the facilities.
“The inspector praised the cleanliness of both the beach and the toilets and commented how good the result was considering that thousands of visitors have been on the beach over the past week during the half term holiday,” Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Meanwhile, the first bathing water results of the season have also arrived from the Environment Agency and all local beaches – including Burnham, Berrow and Brean – have received an “excellent” rating from the inspectors.
