Future of public loo in Brean safeguarded after deal between councils

-

Holidaymakers in Brean won’t be caught short this summer after the future of a block of public toilets in the village was safeguarded this week.

Sedgemoor District Council has completed the transfer of the Warren Road south public conveniences, near the village hall, to Brean Parish Council.

“This transfer will secure the long term future of this seasonally-operated public convenience whilst Sedgemoor will continue to maintain and clean the Warren Road North conveniences immediately adjacent to the beach access,” council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Holidaymakers had complaining that the closure of the block meant they had a long walk to find other facilities in the village.
