Burnham-On-Sea’s BARB Search & Rescue was called out on Saturday (May 19th) to help a jet skier whose machine was stuck in mud on the town’s beach.
Crews were called out at 2.30pm by the beach warden who had asked for assistance near Burnham-On-Sea jetty.
After checking the owner was safely out of the mud, and discussing the incident with Coastguards, BARB’s crew then proceeded to recover the stranded jet ski using its 4x4s.
“The jet skier was unlucky to get stuck on the outgoing tide in a patch of mud and soft sand next to the town’s jetty,” said a BARB spokesman.
“He did the right thing and asked for the help of the beach warden and BARB was happy to help.”
