Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents celebrated the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with events in the two towns.
Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Social Club showed the Windsor ceremony on three of the club’s big screens and laid on a special buffet with traditional strawberries and cream during the ceremony.
Burnham-On-Sea Scouts also held a street party during the day, attended by youngsters and leaders.
And Highbridge’s Globe Inn held a special screening of the wedding with activities for families.
Highbridge’s St John’s Church is also holding a weekend festival weekend that coinciddes with the Royal wedding. The festival continues today (Sunday) at St John’s Church with over 20 wedding dresses on show plus historical displays from 11am-5pm and a special Songs of Praise service at 3pm, followed by cream teas.
