Members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Royal Air Force Association branch have marked the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a special event.
The RAFA Burnham & District Branch held a luncheon in honour of the RAF pilots, aircrew and ground crew who took part in the 1940 campaign.
The event was held at The Ritz Social Club in Burnham’s Victoria Street and was attended by Deputy Mayor Bill Hancock and his wife along with over 35 members of the branch.
“The luncheon was provided by a new caterer, Jess Kilduff, and was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed themselves,” said spokesman Brian Mudge.
The group meets at Chichester Close Community Hall in Chichester Close, Burnham (TA8 2AR) on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30pm.
