Entertainer Peter Gill, right, will be returning to the village for a third visit, bringing an amusing and relaxed evening’s satirical entertainment to St Michael’s Church at 7.30pm.
The ‘Golden Age of Musical Satire’ will include songs such as Allan Sherman’s Hello Muddah, Flanders and Swann’s The Gas Man Cometh and Victoria Wood’s Barry and Freda.
Other classics will include Bernard Cribbin’s Right Said Fred, Noel Coward’s Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Monty Python’s Álways Look on the Bright Side of Life and Weird Al Yanowicz’s The Night Santa Went Crazy.
“The show has had great success as the songs appeal to anyone old enough to have developed a sense of humour – whether they are hearing the for the first time or the hundred and first time,” said a spokesman.
