Craft enthusiasts in Burnham-On-Sea raise £240 for local charities

Hundreds of pounds was raised for charity when a Spring craft fair was held in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (March 2nd).

The event, called Creative Gifts for Spring, was held inside St Andrew’s Church Hall and raised £240 for Highbridge Dreamscheme, Bliss (which helps care for premature and sick babies) and Home Start Bridgwater.

Organiser Kerry Mason, right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a really good day and lots of support, which was wonderful with a steady stream of people.”

A further £90 was raised for for Post Pals, a national charity that helps people ‘Post a Smile on a Sick Child’s Face’ by sending cards, letters, emails and little gifts to seriously ill children. Kerry said the money will pay for a bouncy castle for the group.
