The in-house catering team at Highbridge’s King Alfred School have been awarded a 5* Food Hygiene Rating by Sedgemoor District Council for a fifth time.
The 5* Rating is the highest rating awarded under the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, a national scheme that helps consumers choose where to eat out or shop for food by giving them information about the hygiene standards in restaurants, cafés, takeaways, mobile outlets, hotels and food shops.
Catering Manager Tracey Lowe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to have achieved the top rating again. It is reassuring for our customers to know that we maintain the very highest of standards.”
Opening at 8am for breakfast, the school canteen provides a wide range of hot and cold food, freshly prepared each day on the premises.
