Stranded horse rescued at Brean by Burnham-On-Sea fire crews

-

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called out to rescue a stranded horse in a ditch in Brean on Saturday evening (October 10th).

A specialist rescue team from Bridgwater plus a crew from Burnham were called to Diamond Farm Caravan Park in the village shortly after 7pm.

“The horse had got itself stuck in a water filled ditch,” said a spokesman.

“Almost two hours into the rescue the horse was finally rescued by crews using a local farmer’s tractor, strops and lines.”

“The horse was placed into the care of the local attending vet and the owners who were also in attendance.”
