Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards have welcomed three new recuits to their ranks.
Ollie Saunders, Andy Hutton-Young and Jon Jacobs have formally joined the team after completing their initial training. It follows a successful recruitment drive for newcomers earlier this year.
A new management team is now formally place at Burnham Coastguard, with Dave Welland as Station Officer and Ian Jefferies in the role of Deputy Station Officer.
Also this week, Burnham Coastguard Station Officer Dave Welland formally thanked former town Coastguard Bev Milner Simonds who has stepped down from her role.
Bev, pictured receiving a glass tankard from Dave in recognition of her two and a half years of volunteering, thanked her for her time as she stepped down.
“Bev’s time with us has been appreciated during a busy period with many varied call-outs,” he said.
