Highbridge cyclists pedal into town on charity ride to Lands End

-

Two Highbridge residents who are cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End for charity were met by a crowd of supporters when they peddaled into the town this week.

Shane Pengelly and Dave King are completing the challenge to raise sponsorship funds for the ‘Cots for Tots’ charity.

They called in at Highbridge on their way through the area on Tuesday (October 27th) before heading off again on Wednesday with the intention of arriving at Lands End on Friday.

The duo said they were enjoying the challenge and thanked Highbridge Caravans who have sponsored them and loaned a caravanette to make things easier.

Cots For Tots supports special babies at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, and the appeal funds the world class work of the unit’s staff, saving the lives of the sickest, most premature babies from across the South West.
