More than 20 colourfully dressed fundraisers pulled on their walking boots when Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Smile Walk took place on Sunday afternoon (August 1st).
The popular fancy dress walk started next to the town’s jetty and the walkers made their way along The Esplanade, past the pier, to the bandstand before returning and taking in the South Esplanade.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Peter Gilliard Memorial School in India and organiser Jayne Feltham told Burnham-On-Sea.com she was delighted with how it had all gone and expects several hundred pounds to have been collected.
“The walk went really well – we had a good turnout, excellent weather and there was a fun atmosphere.”
