Two famous faces from the film and TV world surprised regulars at a Brent Knoll pub this week by making an unexpected visit.
Holby City actress Stella Gonet and film actor Nicholas Farrell dropped in at the Brent Knoll Inn on Tuesday (August 3rd) for a quick bite to eat, as pictured here.
Stella is better known as Jayne Grayson, the Chief of Holby City Hospital Primary Care Trust in the long-running BBC drama.
Nicholas has starred in numerous films including the 1981 blockbuster Chariots of Fire, Pearl Harbor and Charlotte Gray, plus TV shows including A Touch of Frost, Spooks and The Diary of Anne Frank.
Brent Knoll Inn landlord Linda Barry De Santiz told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I recognised Nicholas straight away as soon as they walked into the pub – it was a mixture of shock and delight!”
“They told us they were heading down to the west country and had pulled in for a quick snack to get away from the heavy traffic.”
“The couple ate here for almost an hour and happily chatted with us about their work and signed their autographs before heading back to their journey.”
“The couple have been the talk of the pub this week – it will be a visit that will be remembered for some time to come.”
