A day of blue skies and bright sunshine ensured The Friends of Burnham-On-Sea War Memorial Hospital’s fundraising garden party was a big success on Sunday (July 8th).
The second annual event was held in the hospital grounds with a wide range of attractions set up to entertain visitors.
Bernard Spilsbury, Chairman of the Friends of Burnham Hospital, say the event had been a “great success”, raising £1,500, and he thanked all who had attended.
Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor and Mayoress, Bill and Frances Hancock, plus Town Crier Alistair Murray and Deputy Mayor Andy Brewer were among those who attended.
The event ncluded cream teas, a bottle stall, cake stall, table top sale, craft making and a raffle. Funds raised will go towards further improving the facilities at the hospital, which is based in Love Lane, Burnham-On-Sea.
