A group of young footballers from a Highbridge school is celebrating after lifting the winner’s trophy at a district competition.
King Alfred School’s Year 10 football team beat Haygrove to become Year 10 Sedgemoor Champions.
Goals from Charlie Harding, Scott Fouracres and Joe Kew sealed the 3-1 victory.
Peter Harris, PE teacher at the school, said: “Congratulations to the team on a well deserved win.”
This Thursday (2nd May) the team will be hoping to go one step further when they play Backwell School at Street Football Club in the final of the County Cup.
