A new ‘modern day’ adult choir has been formed in Burnham-On-Sea by a local music teacher, who is seeking singers of all ages to join in.
Siobhan Johnson has pulled together the three or four part choir, which is called ‘Burnham On Song’.
The group operates on a pay-as-you-go weekly basis and has already performed at the Highbridge Festival of the Arts where it scooped a silver medal.
Siobhan told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Many of my members don’t read music or have never sung before but like the achievement they gain through being taught in a less formal manner.”
“We sing songs from the musicals and easy listening songs from The Beatles, Abba, Elton John, Queen to Adele and as up to date as The Military Wives.”
To join, give Siobhan a call on 01278 751115 or visit the group at Burnham Community Centre any Tuesday night at 7.30pm.
