Burnham-On-Sea youngster wins contest to design coach firm’s logo

-

A Burnham-On-Sea youngster has won a competition to design a new logo for a local coach company.

James Whitrow beat off stiff competition to design the artwork for Axe Vale Coaches of Biddisham.

The firm decided to update its livery after more than 30 years and launched a competition that was open to several senior schools across Weston and the Cheddar Valley area to design a new look.

With hundreds of entries, the decision was a difficult one for the judges, but James’ logo stood out as being clear, professional and eye-catching.

His artwork is now starting to feature on the firm’s coaches, depot building, letter heads and uniforms.

James, a pupil at Kings of Wessex School, was delighted to win an iPad, which was presented to him by the firm’s directors Colin and John Bailey and Operations Manager Richard Adams.
