Burnham and Highbridge Parkrun welcomed along a VIP guest over the weekend.
Father Christmas gave a helping hand to Burnham Lions Club when its volunteers marshalled a section of the weekly 5km run.
“We marshalled the turning point for the Parkrun and as it is Christmas we felt we would do it a little differently – we persuaded Santa and Rufus the Lion to help out!” says the club’s Doug Plume.
“The runners enjoyed it and Santa and Rufus told me they enjoyed meeting all the runners and walkers — young, old and four-legged!”
