Hundreds of residents got into a festive mood at a candlelit carol singing event in Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Sunday (December 17th).
The annual ‘Carols In The Park by Candlelight’ was organised by Burnham Community Church and attracted a good turnout on a mild, dry evening, as pictured here.
Residents gathered around the illuminated bandstand to sing well-known carols, hear readings and prayers.
Among the audience was Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor Cllr Lesley Millard who thanked the organisers for holding such a well-attended festive evening.
Burnham Community Church’s Keith Wright added: “Thank you to everyone who came along and supporting us. We had a fantastic time and were amazed by the wonderful turnout from the local community.”
“We also give a big shout out to the neighbours to the Manor Gardens who kindly let us use their power outlet as the one in the bandstand was not working. Without them, the event may have not have been possible!”
