Over 260 people have attended a formal ball near Burnham-On-Sea, raising a huge £11,600 for a local breast cancer support charity.
The Somerset Breast Cancer Now Ball, held at the Batch Country House in Lympsham, was well attended last Saturday night (December 2nd).
Organiser Holly Macbeth, from Somerset Breast Cancer Now, said the evening had been a “huge success”.
She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Over 280 guests enjoyed a fantastic evening with stunning food provided by the Batch Country House who always work so hard for us every year, followed by a live auction, raffle charity casino and fabulous live music from the amazing local band Six Machine. All guests were also treated to a very generous goody bag from Elemis.”
“Huge thanks to our guests who have helped us raise a massive £11.6k for Somerset Breast Cancer Now.”
“We know times are hard for everyone right now, especially anyone involved in fundraising for charities, so we are beyond thrilled with the total raised.”
“We must thank James, Anna, Abbie & the team at the Batch hotel, Six Machine, DJ Dave for spinning his tunes, our casino provided by the Lions of Weston, our photographer Phil and all our auction and raffle donations.”
“None of this would be possible to host this event without such community support, we are very lucky to always get backed by our loyal supporters in any way.”
“Next year’s ball is already booked and table reservations are already being made. If you are interested in supporting the group in anyway or attending next year’s ball on the 7th December 2024 please email bcnowsomerset@gmail.com.”
