Scores of families followed a fun scarecow trail around the village of Lympsham over the weekend to raise funds for two good causes.
22 scarecrows with a film and TV theme were made by villagers and then placed outside homes in the village for two days – on Saturday and Sunday.
Organisers Rosie Phillips and Louise Allen, pictured top, said the event had raised funds for the village’s shop and school from the sale of trail maps.
“We had lots of interest from people taking part – we’ve been so lucky with the weather,” said Rosie.
She added her thanks to the event’s sponsors – Eco Plumbing, Nuts and Bolts, Brent House Farm Shop, Organised Queens and Francis Clark.
Several scarecrows were unfortunately damaged by vandals but they received repairs to avoid any disruption.
It is the second scarecrow festival for the village after the first one was held in 2019.
