Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club has donated scores of new hi-viz safety jackets to help keep children safe at Berrow Primary School while out on school trips.
Members of the Lions Club have visited the school to hand over the new jackets to the delighted pupils.
Dennis Peters of Burnham Lions said: “Lions UK have been running this safety project for a few years now and, locally, Weston and Clevedon Lions have participated.”
“We wanted to help supply a local school and when Berrow was approached they we were delighted to get involved.”
Berrow School reception class teacher Miss Clayton adds: “They were handed over to the school and the children were delighted and excited to wear them!”
Supplier Osnic Emroidery of Weston supplied them to the school.
