St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea will be holding its annual All Souls Service this Sunday, October 31st, when residents are invited to recall the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed away.
The church is hosting its annual service for those who have been bereaved, starting at 4pm.
“The service will last about 45 minutes and is an occasion when anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one can come along, light a candle, shed a tear, sing a song and share with others in the service,” says Revd Graham Witts, Vicar of Burnham.
“Each year we hold this service and it does not matter whether folks have been bereaved one year, two years or twenty years, each person finds it a comfort to come along and have a time and place to recall their loved ones. This year is no different. We welcome everyone who wishes to come along to share with us.”
“We have hand sanitizers in place and would ask anyone attending to bring a mask to wear while moving around the building. Once seated, mask wearing is optional.”
The service will end in the churchyard.
