Emergency services called to sudden death in Highbridge

An air ambulance and other emergency services were called to Highbridge on Tuesday (October 26th) following reports of a sudden death.

The yellow Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance landed at the Recreational Ground at around 10am, as pictured here. Several Police and ambulance crews were also called to a nearby home.

A Police spokesman confirmed: “South Western Ambulance Service called us at 9.55am to an address in Highbridge following a sudden death.”

“Officers attended the property. At this time, we’re not treating the death as suspicious but will carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner.”

“The next of kin of the deceased has been informed.”
