A long-running Burnham-On-Sea solicitors firm is expanding with the acquisition of another practice in the town.
Brendan Steer of Holley and Steer Solicitors, based at Tregunter, pictured, has announced that he has purchased the practice of John Shirley & Co Solicitors and their offices at 24 College Street.
A spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “John and Brendan have known one another for many years and discussed the acquisition pre-Covid but plans had to be put on hold until recently. Discussions went well and an agreement was quickly reached whereby Brendan acquired the business and the premises.”
”John will stay on as a Consultant Solicitor for many months, ably assisted by his very experienced Legal Secretary Louise Small. Faith Evans will also stay on as a Consultant Solicitor dealing with probate.”
“Brendan’s present offices at Tregunter had become full and it was having an impact on the staff generally and in particular the recruitment of new lawyers and staff.”
”This could not be considered until there was more room. Buying John’s practice and the premises has given an opportunity to now focus on expansion.”
