Art from Burnham-On-Sea students to be shown at two-week exhibition in Weston

Dozens of talented students will help to brighten up the community with a top class art exhibition of their work starting on Friday (October 1st).

Year 11 GCSE Art students at three schools in The Priory Learning Trust, including King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, will display their artwork opposite Waterstones in the Sovereign Centre in Weston-super-Mare.

Dozens of students are represented at the King Alfred School Academy, Worle Community School Academy and Priory Community School Academy.

There are some colourful pieces to be exhibited including photography, artwork, and 3-D work.

The exhibition will start tomorrow for two weeks and will become an annual event with a showcasing of students art.

Nathan Jenkins, Deputy CEO of TPLT, says: “Some of this art work has to be seen to be believed.”

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to display the sheer brilliance of our students across the whole town, right in the heart of the town centre.”

Over 700 people work across TPLT schools to make a brilliant education for over 5,000 students and pupils.
