Dozens of people headed to the first fundraising evening for the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Hospital since the start of the pandemic on Friday night (September 17th).
The popular event raised over £700 at Brean Country Club where a dinner was accompanied by local band ‘Lipinski’.
Ceri Joyce, Chairman of The Friends, said: “It was such a pleasure to be able to hold the first of our fundraisers at Brean Country Club and we extend our gratitude to Alan House and all at Holiday Resort Unity for their generosity in offering us their beautiful venue. The impressive facilities, superb food and courteous and helpful staff, all added to the wonderful atmosphere of the evening which raised over £700 towards our Charity.”
“The Friends are aiming to focus on some high-profile projects in the coming months and the first of these to be considered is the refurbishment of the Courtyard Garden at the hospital for the benefit of the patients as well as the outside seating area for the staff. All of which hopefully will be unveiled in the Spring of 2022”.
