Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called out on Saturday afternoon (May 2nd) to tackle a minor fire.
Crews were called to a home in Rosewood Avenue, Burnham at 4.25pm.
“Two fire appliances from Burnham were sent to a report of a small fire in a bedroom of a property,” confirmed a spokesman.
“It was a small fire in a rear bedroom and the cause was accidental, with sunlight reflected from a mirror onto a cardboard box.”
Crews said the fire had involved an item of clothing that had been removed to open air prior to their arrival.
“One hose reel was used to extinguish the item on fire which had been taken to a back garden.”
