Thousands of residents across the Burnham-On-Sea area showed their support for local NHS staff and key workers by taking part in the weekly Clap For Our Carers on Thursday night (April 30th).
Our video shows residents along Love Lane, Manor Road and Kingsway Road joining the national applause for hard-working carers on the front line of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Several of the hard-working staff at Burnham Hospital also came out to join the applause and thank residents for their support, as pictured below.
And residents in Burnham’s Palmer’s Close sang ‘happy birthday’ to mark the 100th birthday of Captain Tom Moore, the former British Army officer known for his efforts to raise over £32million for charity during the Coronavirus pandemic.
