Tributes have been paid to a former Burnham-On-Sea school teacher who has sadly died this week.
Andrew Beglin passed away peacefully at a local care home, aged 94, after being hit by the virus, says his family.
Andrew, pictured, taught at St Andrew’s School in Burnham for many years during the 1970s and 1980s.
He is fondly remembered by former pupils for leading after-school sports activities such as cricket and chess.
Andrew was from a large family of ten who lived in Burnham-On-Sea and he went on to teach in Kenya and India.
His family said this week he will be “greatly missed”. His nephew, Ian Cook, added: “It really hits home now that I have lost my dear uncle to Coronavirus.”
