Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Social Club is holding a second online quiz night this evening (Saturday, March 28th) to help entertain local people during the Coronavirus lockdown.
The social club is temporarily closed to protect staff and customers in line with the the Government’s guidelines. However, it is using Facebook to beam a quiz to local audiences.
The Ritz Club’s first online quiz was sucessfully held on Thursday evening and the next will be held on Saturday at 8pm today on its Facebook page.
Manager Paul Hale says:Â “The first quiz was great – the feedback received was good from everyone and they are looking forward to the next one on Saturday.”
“It was a nice bit of light-hearted fun and took a break from the doom and gloom. There was never an intention to run another one so quickly afterwards but it was a great opportunity to interact with our members and their friends.”
“There were people playing along from Newcastle, Birmingham and Liverpool so it was a real chance to unite people in this time of trouble.”
Brean’s Holiday Resort Unity also held a live-streaming kids entertainment show on its Facebook page during Thursday featuring the park’s entertainer Chunkie Russell.
