The streets of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge were briefly turned white on Tuesday (February 25th) during heavy hailstorms.
These were the wintry scenes after the storms left a coating of ice on streets and pavements.
Motorists have been warned to take extra care by the Met Office, which issued a warning of ice as sub-zero temperatures are making road conditions slippery.
“A mix of rain and hail showers, with some snow over higher ground, is likely to leave surfaces wet. Surface temperatures are expected to fall below freezing with icy stretches forming in places,” says the Met Office.
