Shop owners in Burnham-On-Sea have decorated their windows with poppy themes this weekend to mark Remembrance Sunday.
Among the businesses taking on the special theme as Burnham remembers those who lost their lives in the two World Wars are an art shop, an optician, a barber, estate agents and charity shops.
Hand-made poppies from St Andrew’s School pupils are on display at Berryman’s estate agents in the High Street. And large poppies have also been attached to High Street lighting columns by the Royal British Legion and Town Council.
Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, John Crosby from Burnham’s branch of the Royal British Legion said: “It’s wonderful to see so many shop windows in the town centre marking this special day in this way. We thank all those shops who have got involved.”
