Police appeal to motorists for witnesses after fail-to-stop crash near Cheddar

Police have issued an appeal to motorists from the Burnham-On-Sea area to come forward if they witnessed a fail-to-stop incident near Cheddar this week.

It happened on Wednesday October 23rd between 10-10.15am on the B3135 Axbridge Road, near to the BP petrol station.

A pedestrian in his 60s suffered head injuries after being in collision with a car which failed to stop.

A Poice spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The man was taken to Weston General Hospital for treatment. The car involved is likely to have damage to the bonnet area, front grill, lights and the windscreen from the impact.”

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.”

“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who was using the B3135 at the time of the incident who may have dash cam footage.”
