Over £400 raised for cancer charity during Burnham-On-Sea coffee morning

A coffee morning held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Methodist Church has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support during a nationwide event to mark the ‘world’s biggest coffee morning’.

Burnham and Highbridge’s Deputy Mayors Bill Hancock and Nick Tolley were among those attending special event.

Organiser Fay Donnellan told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The final count of the money we raised was £440.61 – a great amount!”

“I would like to thank everyone who supported the cause. We have a great community here in Burnham.”

“We had a great turn out. A big thank you to everyone that donated cakes. And those who helped, plus to the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress for attending.”
