Neighbourhood Care in Burnham-On-Sea wins seven top care awards

Celebrations are underway at a Burnham-On-Sea home care provider, after it won seven top awards.

Carers from Neighbourhood Care, which is based in Burnham’s Victoria Street, won three gold awards, two silver awards and two bronze awards at the Somerset Outstanding Care Awards held in Weston.

The care service won home gold awards for employer of the year, domiciliary provider of the year and team of excellence at the ceremony, which celebrated the most dedicated individuals, providers and suppliers in the care industry across the county.

Mike and Barbara Kaczorowski, owners of Neighbourhood Care, told Burnham-On-Sea.com are “very proud” of their team after the awards haul.

They said: “Our goal was to create a modern, vibrant company where people of different ages, backgrounds and beliefs feel valued and appreciated.”

“We try to do something different, something to be proud of in an industry that can get such bad press at times.”

“We are very proud of our team and our company.”

Carers and managers from the home care service also took home awards.

Carer Rebecca Pink-Jennings won a silver award in the care newcomer category, Fran Ward scooped up a bronze award in the deputy of the year category and Barbara Kaczorowska took home a bronze award in the home care manager of the year category.

Neighbourhood Care is a service based in Burnham-On-Sea for anyone aged 18 or over who needs care in their own home or help with day to day life. It also provides help to family members with respite care, advice and support.
