Rotary Club to open new book shop on Monday in Burnham-On-Sea town centre

-

Book-lovers in Burnham and Highbridge will once again have a chance to enjoy a good choice of reading when Burnham Rotary Club opens its Bookshop at 44 High Street – part of the former RSPCA Shop on the corner of Cross Street – on Monday August 19th.

Owing to a lack of suitable and available empty shops the Club has not been able to operate its annual Bookshop for a couple of years but it has a good selection of books in stock to cater for a wide variety of tastes.

Spokesman George Moon told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The shop will open from 10am to 4pm daily except Sundays and the August Bank Holiday Monday for the next four weeks.”

“The Club is grateful to the owners and the agents, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, for allowing the use of the premises.”

Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club meets generally weekly on Thursday evenings (7pm for 7.30pm) at The Grange Hotel, Brent Knoll, with a breakfast meeting at 7am on the first Thursday monthly at The Victoria Hotel, Victoria Street, Burnham.

The Club welcomes new members (male and female) and visiting Rotarians.  For more information about Burnham on Sea Rotary, please telephone the Secretary, Graham Lyne  (01278 786789) or Jane Gibbs (01278 792883).
