The owners of this drifting jet ski decided to do a ‘self-rescue’ after their craft lost power in the estuary at Burnham-On-Sea earlier this week.
The jet ski had been returning to the town’s jetty at high tide when its power cut out and it began drifting off the end of the jetty.
The two people onboard decided to paddle the craft back to the shore rather than call out Burnham’s rescue services.
“They were both well-equipped with lifejackets,” said an eyewitness. “They also had the lifeguards and a jetty supervisor watching them all the way in, so they seemed to be safe.”
