Crowds of people flocked to a rescue services day at Brean Leisure Park on Saturday (July 20th).
The event was held to celebrate the work of our local emergency services, and many of Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue services attended.
The event included the RNLI, BARB Search & Rescue, Burnham-On-Sea Coastguard, plus Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Avon Search & Rescue, Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance, St John Ambulance and South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
Sarah House, Brean Leisure Park Director, said: “Due to our location on the coast, and particularly the dangers that can present themselves with the tidal conditions here, we very much support our local rescue services and feel it is important to hold events like this for both local people and the vast number of visitors we get in this area. It is a fun and friendly way to find out about water safety.”
